Article 16 of the Statute of Universidad Nacional de La Plata establishes:
"The University conceives transfer in its broadest sense, as the creative activity resulting from applied research, combining the existing knowledge or the knowledge gained and applied for solving specific issues, generating new social, cultural, natural and technical expressions which are later transferred to the social environment."
